YOGA

The practice of vinyasa yoga is where movement and breath come together as one!  Having originally been drawn to physical yoga to balance out the other physical exercise I was doing, it was the affect of this synchronicity on both my body and mind that made me understand how much more yoga had to offer! I have been teaching yoga since 2013 and have studied traditional Hatha Yoga with Schools in India and Bali.  I have also completed additional CPD in yoga sports science and have a background in physical education and personal training. My classes blend this traditional approach to yoga with an understanding of how the physical body works and moves! My advanced training was rooted in the world of Hatha Tantra Yoga which uses the body to stimulate and direct our subtle energy, allowing us to become more connected to our true self.

I would describe the classes I teach as ‘mindful vinyasa’, where the breath takes centre stage, and I encourage my students to tune in to the energy of the subtle body as they move, whilst still maintaining awareness to alignment throughout! Combined with my experience in the fitness industry I have a thorough knowledge of anatomy and biomechanics, so I can guide my students through a safe practice in a fun and supporting atmosphere!

I offer 60 minute 1-2-1 private yoga sessions in the comfort of your own home where practices can be tailored to your specific needs and abilities! I also teach a class schedule (please see below) in East Kilbride as well as occasional weekend workshops,  and I am available for private workshops and corporate work.
