This SAUTร‰ED KALE ๐Ÿฅฌ MUSHROOM ๐Ÿ„ and CHICKPEAS is one of my go to lunches but works great for dinner as well! If you are a PLANT BASED eater then it can be confusing as to whither you should classify things like chickpeas as a PROTEIN or CARB? LEGUMES and BEANS are an important protein source for PLANT BASED eaters! In this meal I classify them as BOTH Can of chickpeas = 36g of carbs + 18g protein โœ… PROTEIN - CHICKPEAS CARBS - CHICKPEAS VEGGIES - MUSHROOM + KALE HEALTH FATS - EV OLIVE OIL SEASONING - Salt+pepper, Garlic Granules, Dried Rosemary and Lemon Juice! * A half portion of this meal also makes a great side dish for meat eaters! Just add grilled chicken or pork! * FYI I eat a mostly plant based diet supplemented with occasional fish/seafood, eggs and very occasional dairy! This is the way I have eaten for most of my adult life and itโ€™s a personal choice! I DO NOT FORCE my preferences on my clients! The PRECISION NUTRITION method in a nutshell * CHOOSE MINIMALLY PROCESSED WHOLE FOODS * BUILD YOUR MEALS AROUND PROTEIN, CARBS, VEGGIES and HEALTHY FATS For me (based on my height, weight and health goals) This looks like 1-2 palm sized portions of protein ๐ŸŸ 1-2 fist sized portions of veggies ๐Ÿฅฆ 1-2 cupped handfuls of carbohydrate ๐Ÿฅ” 1-2 thumbs of healthy fats ๐Ÿฅ‘ Hereโ€™s 2 meals ~ 1 fish and 1 plant based ~ that meet this criteria MEAL 1 * PROTEIN - Pan Fried Scallops โœ… * VEGGIES - Tenderstem Broccoli + Peas โœ… * CARBS - Crushed Baby Potatoes โœ… * HEALTHY FATS - EV Olive oil โœ… MEAL 2 * PROTEIN - Tofu + Edamame โœ… * VEGGIES - Kale + Mushrooms + Edamame โœ… * CARBS - Quinoa โœ… * HEALTHY FATS - Coconut oil โœ… This is the way I try to EAT - MOST of the TIME! But we all need help with CONSISTENCY! CONSISTENCY IN OUR HABITS IS WHAT HELPS US REACH OUR GOALS! ๐Ÿ˜„ How do I stay CONSISTENT?
